Client Stories - Open Concept Living

Background

For 15 years, our client struggled to make sense of their colonial-style home's floor plan. Furniture purchases felt mismatched, the layout didn’t work for their lifestyle, and the dining room sat untouched—a wasted space in a home they longed to love. Frustration mounted as attempts to improve the home led to costly mistakes without achieving the cohesive, functional feel they desired.

The Plan

While visiting the home, the solution became clear. The key to unlocking the home’s potential was to open up the layout and create flow between spaces. By removing a wall, we transformed the first floor into a connected, harmonious environment where each room worked together.

To enhance the sense of unity, we introduced a cohesive color palette throughout the first floor, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Our work included renovating the kitchen and powder room, as well as designing the living room, sitting area, and dining room. The kitchen was reimagined with functionality and style in mind, while the powder room received thoughtful updates to match the home's refreshed aesthetic. The once-neglected dining room became a warm and versatile space, and the living and sitting areas were furnished to prioritize comfort without sacrificing elegance.

Success

The result was a home that finally felt whole—a space that reflected the clients' needs, style, and desire for a welcoming environment. By addressing the home's layout and introducing intentional design, we turned their long-standing frustrations into a home they’re proud to call their own.

Happy Client

“Don’t do what we did for 15 years! We struggled to try to make sense of our home’s floor plan, wasting money on furniture and other items that just didn’t fit. Marty figured it out on her first visit. What a relief! We love it all—from the fantastic bar and the striking living room wallpaper to the high-end kitchen finishes. Our friends and family have been blown away by the transformation. Marty is eager to please and wouldn’t rest until we landed on perfect.”
