Walls That Wow
Whether making a bold statement or providing a subtle accent, wallpaper treatments are one of our favorite ways to elevate a design. Wallpaper offerings have evolved with sophisticated and dynamic options that, when used thoughtfully, will create a polished look that sets a design apart from the ordinary.
DESIGNER TIP:
Wallpaper color and patterns can visually alter the size and feel of a space. Bold patterns or dark colors might make a small room feel even smaller, whereas light and subtle patterns can create an airy, spacious feel.
Vertical stripes can make ceilings appear taller, while horizontal patterns can widen a room.
Look Up!
Don’t ignore the fifth wall! While you might be familiar with the accent wall as a means to create drama, lately, we’ve been looking upwards in our designs.
Whether it’s a bold design or a subtle one, a wallpapered ceiling can add an unexpected fair to any room.
Tiny But Mighty
Through a statement-making design, petite powder rooms offer an opportunity to have fun while enhancing aesthetic appeal.
DESIGNER TIP:
We recommend using vinyl-coated or washable wallpaper in high-traffic areas such as bathrooms.
Add a Touch of Texture
The texture trend in home design isn’t going away, and wallpaper is a perfect medium to explore this dimension.
The shimmering grasscloth wallcovering featured in this home office is handcrafted by artisans using only the finest materials, seamlessly creating a natural, yet luxe look.
Go Bold
Vibrant colors and bold patterns can add instant personality to a room. When done correctly, wallpaper can be fun and impactful, but choosing the right style is a nuanced task. Color, pattern, and texture combinations must all be considered in order to work harmoniously within a space.
DESIGNER TIP
Choose wallpapers that are both durable and lightweight, as they will need to adhere well to a ceiling.
Shimmer, Shine, and Reflect
The reflective qualities of metallic wallpaper enhance natural and artificial lighting. These styles can complement both classic and contemporary interiors, adding texture, warmth, and an element of understated glamour.
In the dining room featured above and to the left, we incorporated a subtle metallic stripe along one side of the room, extending into the living room. On the opposite side, we selected a metallic print to add depth and sophistication, creating a balanced and visually dynamic space.
The lattice pattern on this powder room wallcovering has a grasscloth-like texture, but is made of highly durable performance vinyl.
